Sustainability in agriculture
What do we do for the soil?
We employ modern technologies and new agricultural methods to optimally and sustainably use resources.
- No till technology – we have eliminated plowing and all potentially abusive technologies on the soil, so that the carbon reserves in the soil are not released into the atmosphere.
- We have optimized the use of fertilizers in such a way that their application is based on the needs of different points in the farming surface, precisely to avoid using them in excess – we use liquid fertilizers and have halved the amount used.
- We digitalized everything that could be digitalized and thus have a much better understanding of what is happening in the field – we track the working machines in the field, the weather conditions (through our own weather stations), the pests. Thus, production is optimized and possible external threats can be accurately predicted, taking measures in time.
- We use crop diversity and rotation – crop rotation is an important technique to keep the soil healthy and to avoid complete depletion of nutrients. It involves growing plants in different locations over many years so that future harvests help replenish nutrients.
- We use organic fertilizers from the Panifcom farm – in 2021 we made an investment in the sterilization of the manure and thus after this sterilization it reaches our fields.
- We have reduced pesticide doses by up to 33%.
