Animal husbandry is another area of activity Panifcom is in charge with and is closely related to agriculture. In 2007, the zootechnical farm in Broșteni was started out of the same passion that drives us forward, and one year later the first import of 200 Holstein cows took place.
In time, through constant improvement and quality consulting, the farm has developed its core. It no longer requires imports and possesses 2100 Holstein animals, both dairy cows, and heifers. The success of this department is primarily due to the specialized education of people already involved and performance-oriented. We constantly organize training sessions abroad, invest in management programs and offer performance bonuses. We also have a team of veterinarians and technicians.
We ensure the development required for the zootechnical activity by using modern technological endowments. For each piece of equipment, we have a spare one for uninterrupted activity. The farm has an automated feeding system, which allows flexible and precise feeding of cows with properly proportioned, fresh food. The manure evacuation system is also automatic. The two milking parlors are some of the most efficient on the market, each having a large capacity, complete management, and micro-laboratory for milk quality analysis.
We use comprehensive, scalable, and flexible software to organize the whole farm’s operations range. These efforts are constantly proving their importance and performance. In 2015, Panifcom’s farm was “Romania’s most productive farm” and it has not changed ever since.
